Heather Grove

Ms. Grove is Executive Managing Director of Trellus where she focuses on measuring, enhancing, and monetizing the value of privately-held companies. She has over eighteen years of experience conducting valuation analyses of business enterprises and various types of securities including common and preferred stock, options, warrants, and partnership interests for merger and acquisition, divestiture, litigation and dispute resolution, estate and gift tax planning, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting purposes.

Ms. Grove’s extensive experience in measuring the value of privately-held companies enables her to develop a roadmap to optimize the value of a company in preparation for its owner’s exit as well as successfully execute the transaction on the sell-side when the owner seeks to monetize the value of their interest.

Ms. Grove has served clients which range in size from start-ups to $1 billion multi-national publicly-traded corporations in a wide variety of industries, as well as government agencies including the Internal Revenue Service, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Department of Justice.

Prior to founding Trellus, Ms. Grove was Director of Corporate Finance for a venture-backed technology company. She began her career as an analyst in the Valuation Services Group at Ibbotson Associates. Ms. Grove received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a concentration in accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is a member of the American Society of Appraisers and the Association for Corporate Growth, where she serves on the Public Policy Committee, which informs policymakers about the substantial impact the middle market has on U.S. jobs and economic growth and the potential effects of policy proposals on the middle-market ecosystem.

Outside of the firm, Ms. Grove is an active angel investor and serves as a board member and advisor to several early-stage companies.
